Mediagraph's date tree is a great tool for discovering files according to the year, month, or day they were created. There are times when the date tree may help you find incorrectly tagged files, as well. Scanned images, for example, will show the date of scanning, rather than the date the image was captured. Sometimes, when migrating from another DAM, the upload date may show as the creation date. It's very easy to remove these incorrect dates in bulk, tagging files as "Missing Create Date". You can filter by this tag, making it easy to see all undated files and work through them as you see fit.

  1. In the Workspace, find and select the files with incorrect dates.
  2. Hover over the sprocket to view the Action Menu.
  3. Click Edit Metadata.
  4. Scroll down and select Set as "Missing Create Date".
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Click OK to confirm.
