Removing a tag from the Tag Tree will not delete that tag or remove it from any files, it will simply remove it from the Tag Tree. Follow these steps to remove a Tag from the Tag Tree.

Remove a Tag using the Info Pop-Over

  • Mouse over the Info_Popup.pnginfo pop-over of the tag you would like to remove from the Tag Tree.
  • In the info pop-over click "Remove From Taxonomy…".
  • Click "OK". This tag will no longer appear in the Tag Tree.

Note: MediaGraph uses the terms Tag Tree and Taxonomy interchangeably. Clicking “Remove From Taxonomy” will not remove this tag from the master tag list.

Remove a Tag using the Keyword Tag List

It is possible to remove tags from the Tag Tree while in the Keyword Tag List management area, however we recommend removing tags in the Tag Tree itself so you can see if there are child tags you will be removing.

  • Go to the Manage > Keyword Tag List.
  • Locate the tag you would like to remove from the Tag Tree.
  • Click the trashcan under the Taxonomies column. Click "OK".
  • This tag will no longer appear in the Tag Tree.
